Our History
Building Our Legacy
Advance Turning’s story began in 1968 in the basement of John Macchia’s home in Jackson, Michigan. After finishing his full-time job each day, John hand-machined parts for Eaton Aeroquip, steadily building a reputation for precision, reliability, and hard work. What started as a small operation driven by determination and craftsmanship quickly grew into a thriving manufacturing business.
Advance Turning was officially incorporated in 1972, and by 1977 the company surpassed $1 million in sales. Over the decades, continued investment in advanced CNC technology, skilled machinists, and modern manufacturing processes helped the company expand its capabilities and customer base. Today, Advance Turning serves the medical and aerospace industries while continuing to build on more than 50 years of innovation, quality, and trusted partnerships.
